Throughout our estate you’ll find examples of where we reused, repurposed and recycled materials in order to reduce our construction footprint. The lumber that lines the walls in our Event Center and the Raven’s Nest came from S&C Ford, built in San Francisco 125 years ago. We reclaimed the wood and had it resawn on site. The majority of the steel in these same rooms was also repurposed.
As you venture out to the parking lot, you are walking on over 4,000 tons of recycled base rock and asphalt reused on our roads and paving. The light posts were also saved from a San Francisco demolition site then retrofitted with energy-saving LED lights before installation at Bally Keal. Established as a distinct growing region just one year after Napa Valley, wine grapes have flourished in Suisun Valley since the 1800s. Warm days and cool nights make for ideal grape ripening. Approximately 8 miles long and 4 miles wide, this rural valley borders Napa County to the north and ends in the south at Suisun Bay. Read More.
